In these three images I am going to talk about how an account was set up which will show the process of it. How we would first start off with setting up the account is by right-clicking then you would highlight the mouse over the option of new and then click onto user where a new user is created onto the network and then the next steps are for example setting up a username and a password for the account. With adding a password all you need to do is decide what your password is going to be then in the next section underneath you will have to confirm the password of your choice. In the final step the account will be listed with other created accounts for network admins this can be fully displayed in the active directory and users section.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is one of many common ports that feature on the computer and we use them to connect with other things for example a printer which could be connected using that way into the usb ports or it can be used additionally for keyboards or game controllers or on the other hand it can be used for memory sticks which can be used to save files onto it.
The microphone is used to input any audio into the comptuer system and the audio being generated would come out from the sound card . A computer user could use the microphone to speak to people while on the computer if the microphone was not built in and normally it could be used for voice recognition or for the purpose of computer gaming and being able to communicate with other users in the game. On the other hand it could be used for recording your vocals or musical instruments even podcasts could be recorded.
The scanner is an input device which scans documents for example like photos or a piece of text and once the document is scanned an electronical version is created this can be then seen on the screen where you can edit the document or on the other hand you can just view it on the screen making any checks.Scanners also work alongside with different software programs for example this could be adobe which would import data from the scanner and could then be put into adobe photoshop and this is an input device due to the information being sent into the computer.
The monitor is what we would use to display the webpage or for example a word document because we need to see what we are doing on the computer.It also displays other open programs and we can interact with the computer monitor by either using the mouse or keyboard to select options on the screen.So this is an output device due to it displaying the images on the screen and it’s getting instructions from other components inside the computer.
The mouse is one of the most commonly used input devices used on the computer we use it for such tasks by giving commands by selecting an option by clicking on it. The mouse also gives instructions to the screen if you want to move up or down on the computer using a thing called the scroll-wheel some old types of mouse had a rolling ball underneath so you could move it about. However you can use wireless mouse’s as well which can normally be connected using bluetooth.
The printer is considered to be an output device due to it receiving information from the computer system so the printed piece comes out as the printout of the computers output.They either would produce a hardcopy or on the other hand the printout. There are at least two types of printers which we would use normally for example an inkjet printer or a laser printer these are the common types of printers.Some printers are connected using wifi or on the other hand you would use a usb cable to connect to the usb ports.
The keyboard is an input device which we use as the most common input device on a computer and we use it to do the main jobs by selecting commands on the screen or using it to type in a word document and we also need it to log off the computer or shut the system down. It does many jobs for us.
